About the Opportunity
Our confidential client is a precision metals / forging manufacturer serving diversified industrial markets. Were adding a Heat Treat Supervisor to run day to day thermal processing on 1st shift. If you like being hands on with furnaces leading a small crew and owning quality throughput lets talk.
Schedule & Pay
Standard: Monday Friday 6:00 AM 3:00 PM.
Overtime: Regular/seasonal OT; some Saturdays as needed.
Rate: $25 $35 per hour depending on experience
What Youll Do
Lead/coordinate all heat treat activities: annealing quenching tempering aging; schedule 4 heat treat ovens to meet production goals.
Load/unload forgings; set furnace temps/cycles; monitor & control parameters (temp pressure soak/cycle time) to spec.
Move parts through quench & cool; perform hardness testing (Brinell/Rockwell); finalize travelers in ERP/M2M.
Maintain process logs batch records and preventative maintenance checklists; manage spare parts (thermocouples coils etc.).
Inspect equipment & work area; escalate safety quality or process non conformities; drive corrective action & continuous improvement.
Train mentor and evaluate techs/operators; promote teamwork & communication across production & quality.
Follow PPE LOTO and all site safety procedures.
What Youll Bring
3 years in heat treat / metallurgical processing; 2 years in a lead / supervisory role.
Hands on with furnaces (anneal quench systems temper carburizing) & related instrumentation.
Ability to interpret specs charts work instructions; basic data entry & report updates.
Problem solver who can troubleshoot process issues & coordinate maintenance.
Strong safety focus; comfortable enforcing LOTO & PPE compliance.
Forklift experience (or ability to obtain in house certification).
Solid communication-verbal written shift hand offs
Physical & Work Environment
Hot industrial environment; exposure to heat dust fumes humidity and moderate to loud noise. Frequent standing (up to 8 hrs) lifting to 45 lbs (team assist above that) bending reaching and operating material handling equipment.
