Job Description
Were seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our team. In this role youll play a key part in delivering consistent high-quality dishes in a fast-paced professional kitchen. If youre organized passionate about food and thrive during service this is the role for you.
The Day to Day:
- Execute prep and service to the highest standard following recipes and plating guidelines with precision and consistency
- Maintain an organized and efficient station before during and after service
- Practice FIFO (First In First Out) to manage inventory and minimize waste
- Support daily prep ensuring all mise en place is ready for service
- Communicate clearly with team members and chefs to ensure smooth coordinated service
- Work cleanmaintain a tidy station assist in end-of-day cleaning and follow all food safety and sanitation protocols
- Ensure proper labeling dating and storage of all food items
- Be proactiveidentify prep needs restock as needed and take initiative during slower periods
- Assist in receiving and properly storing deliveries ensuring quality and accuracy
- Uphold kitchen standards and work collaboratively in a respectful team-driven environment
Qualifications :
- 1-2 years cooking experience in a fast-paced restaurant
- Culinary diploma/degree is an asset
- Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills
- Ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Able to spend 100% of the time standing
- Valid Food Handler Certified preferred
- Available weekends evenings and holidays as needed
