Senior Project Controller positions offered by Hitachi Energy USA Inc. (Jefferson City MO). Translate budgets into operational plans and establish measurable targets. Execute the business planning and forecasting processes for the area of responsibility. Evaluate financial implications of various operational decisions build scenarios and recommend corrective actions. Monitor progress and provide analysis to support operational decision-making. Drive appropriate cost structure productivity optimization and capital efficiency. Manage and monitor cash flow and act to improve Net Working Capital. Drive appropriate cost structure productivity optimization and capital efficiency metrics. Drive improvement of business processes and reporting including production order variances (POV) scrap reporting labor reporting (efficiency) purchase price variance (PPV) absorption and overheads. Develop labor material and overhead annual budget assumptions. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by assisting with initial BOM generation and cost estimates. Work with the various departments to implement and apply cost accounting policies and procedures. Lead cross-functional initiatives that support operational goals. Drive definition and implementation of global standards and business specific guidelines to ensure continuous improvement in the financial control process within own area of responsibility. Ensure transparency in financial reporting and disclosures. Define and implement internal controls regarding financial and non-financial operations. Ensure compliance with corporate and country standards regulations and guidelines. Apply processes and tools to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information. Ensure high quality of financial data and business information in line with defined standards and financial closing schedules.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in accounting finance business administration or a related field and 8 years of experience in the position offered or 8 years of experience performing finance or controlling processes for manufacturing operations. Also requires 8 years of experience developing financial reports and variance analysis including POV PPV or Efficiency. Requires 7 years of experience preparing budgets and financial statement forecasts including balance sheet and profit and loss statements. Requires 5 years of experience: managing manufacturing costs; liaising between finance and manufacturing teams; and ensuring internal control implementation and compliance with relevant guidelines regulations and laws. Requires 3 years of experience: using SAP and MS Office applications; and leading cross-functional initiatives in support of manufacturing operations. Experience may be but need not be acquired concurrently.
