Job Summary

Trophy Nissan a premier automotive dealership in Mesquite Texas is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager for our Pre-Owned Department. This full-time salaried position will oversee and manage the sales team in our Pre-Owned Department and be responsible for achieving sales goals and maintaining a positive customer experience. The Sales Manager will be an integral part of our management team and will report directly to the General Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Lead motivate and manage the sales team in the Pre-Owned Department setting clear sales goals and objectives to achieve monthly and yearly targets

  • Monitor sales performance of individual team members and provide training and coaching to improve performance

  • Set and maintain a high standard of customer service ensuring that all customers have a positive experience at Trophy Nissan

  • Collaborate with the General Manager and other department heads to develop sales strategies that align with the dealerships overall goals and objectives

  • Keep up-to-date on industry trends market conditions and competition and make recommendations to the General Manager to remain competitive

  • Oversee the pricing and inventory of pre-owned vehicles ensuring that vehicles are priced competitively and that inventory levels are well-maintained

  • Manage and resolve any customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner

  • Conduct regular sales meetings with the pre-owned sales team to review performance set goals and identify opportunities for improvement

  • Hire train and develop new sales staff as needed ensuring that all team members adhere to dealership policies and procedures

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales inventory and other relevant information for reporting to upper management

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in auto sales with at least 1 year in a management or supervisory role

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing a successful sales team

  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a team

  • Excellent customer service skills and a passion for providing a positive customer experience

  • Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or a related field preferred

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the automotive industry and market trends

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and dealership-specific software systems

  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed

  • All potential employees must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
