Job Description Summary
When you come to work at the GE Aerospace Airfoils facility in Greenville youll come to realize that youre in a place where you can do your best. Were producing High Pressure Turbine Blades that help power tomorrows commercial and military aircraft. Were using innovative production methodologies including complex machining special processes and NDT.As the Technical Team Leader you will impact approaches projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. This role Impacts quality efficiency and effectiveness of own team. You will have significant input into priorities.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of manufacturing engineers and process technicians within assigned business organization to drive continuous improvement and meet or exceed operational performance metrics
- Define and control production process including tooling and equipment
- Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product tools or equipment
- Develop specialized knowledge in their discipline
- Serve as best practice/quality resource
- Contribute towards strategy and policy development and ensure delivery within area of responsibility
- Use judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management manufacturing technology or engineering
- Use technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations
- Use multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions
- Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience
- Explain difficult or sensitive information; work to build consensus
- Develop persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree accredited college or university
- Minimum of 5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience
