The Communication and Marketing Coordinator leads the development and execution of strategic messaging and outreach efforts to promote OAQDAs programs initiatives and policies. This role collaborates closely with internal teams external partners and professional service providers to engage key audiencesincluding businesses communities stakeholders government officials media and the public. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing writing proofreading and issuing news releases public notices and correspondence
- Creating public advisory groups task forces and councils to support agency initiatives
- Coordinating public engagement efforts and regulatory compliance for public meetings and hearings
- Preparing and presenting educational materials displays and speeches to the media and public
- Writing editing and designing content for newsletters publications and articles
- Tracking and analyzing communication metrics to improve outreach strategies
- Advising the Executive Director Authority Members and staff on marketing and communications strategy
- Managing the agencys brand marketing materials and storytelling efforts to highlight program impact
- Creating and distributing content across email social media website newsletters text and multimedia platforms
- Leading public engagement efforts involving local communities stakeholders and state officials
- Organizing events conferences and activities to boost agency visibility
- Monitoring and leveraging emerging marketing trends to improve outreach
- Serving as the Public Information Officer; coordinating media inquiries interviews and acting as spokesperson when delegated
- Monitoring media and social media coverage tracking feedback and responding to public inquiries
- Managing relationships and contracts with professional service providers on assigned projects

- Completion of bachelors degree in related field.
- 5 years of experience or training in communications work.
