Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)

We are seeking an HR Business Partner for the Ontario Line South Civils project - (one of the most iconic high-profile and dynamic projects in Toronto Downtown). This role will report directly to the projects HR Lead and will be responsible for executing key HR processes ensuring compliance with local regulations and supporting day-to-day HR needs across the project team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Policies and Protocols: Implement and communicate HR policies and procedures ensuring consistent application across the project.
• Employee Support: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits policies leave and employment documentation.
• Onboarding and Offboarding: Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a smooth employee experience.
• Labor Relations: Support the handling of employee relations issues disciplinary actions and union-related matters where applicable.
• Payroll and Benefits Support: Collaborate with payroll teams to ensure accurate data collection and validation. Assist with local benefits administration.
• Recruitment and Training: Coordinate interviews manage candidate documentation and support the logistics of mandatory and technical training sessions.
• Reporting and Follow-up: Prepare regular HR metrics reports (e.g. absenteeism turnover hiring) and follow up on corrective actions.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all HR activities comply with Canadian labor laws and internal company policies.
• Project HR Support: Work closely with the project HR Lead on audits HR initiatives and support project leadership.

Qualifications :

• 5 years experience.
• A bachelors degree in Human Resources is preferred
• Previous experience in generalist HR roles
• Working knowledge of Canadian labour legislation (preferred).
• Ability to operate in dynamic environments with multiple stakeholders.
