Carlow University is currently accepting applications for an 11-month tenure track faculty position in our DNP and MSN Programs. Responsibilities: - Create an environment in classroom laboratory and clinical settings that facilitates student learning and the achievement of desired cognitive affective and psychomotor outcomes.
- Facilitate learner development and socialization supporting students in the application of knowledge to practice facilitating student autonomy in their specific healthcare role and promoting self-confidence that leads to professional competency
- Insuring students have access to learning experiences essential to their development.
- Representing the mission and values of Carlow University and the College of Health and Wellness to all.
- Mentoring and serving as a role model for students.
- Engaging in activities that are consistent with academic and professional standards.
- Use a variety of evidence based strategies to assess and evaluate learning in the cognitive psychomotor and affective domains.
- Provide timely constructive and thoughtful feedback to learners
- Serve as an academic advisor and mentor to DNP students.
- Participate in curriculum design and evaluation of program outcomes formulating program outcomes and designing curricula that reflect relevant health care trends and educational standards.
- Function as a change agent and leader to create the preferred future for nursing education and practice and enhance the visibility of nursing and its contributions to the academic community.
- Pursue continuous quality improvement by ongoing commitment to develop and maintain role competence.
- Engage in scholarship as defined by the Boyer Model
Minimum Education Level Required: - A minimum of a doctoral degree in nursing PhD in nursing or closely related field
Minimum Related Experience Required: - Valid current unrestricted licensure to practice as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of PA with appropriate national certification as indicated.
- A minimum of a doctoral degree in nursing or PhD n nursing or closely related field.
- Qualified through academic preparation and clinical expertise to teach the subjects assigned and meet standards for academic appointment.
- Experience in oversight of DNP scholarly projects.
- Evidence of commitment to best practice related to student and program outcomes.
- Evidence of teaching excellence at the graduate level.
- Online teaching experience.
- Evidence of ongoing scholarship as defined by the Boyer Model.
- Evidence of service to the profession and community
Required Licenses/Certifications: - Valid current unrestricted licensure to practice as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of PA with appropriate national certification as indicated.
