The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a qualified Hematopathologist to join our busy clinical service.The position is based at our adult academic hospital in Milwaukee Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital but also will provide support to the hematopathology service at Childrens Wisconsin.The candidate must qualify for an appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor of Pathology or higher and be Board Certified in or eligible for certification in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathologyand Hematology. The candidate would ideally also have experience or expertise in Molecular Hematopathology. Candidates should be qualified for an unrestricted medical license in the State of Wisconsin.
The Department of Pathology at the Medical College of Wisconsin consists of 56 faculty members who serve sevenhospitals including 6 faculty dedicated to hematopathology. Training programs include an AP/CP resident complement of 16 and various fellowships including an ACGME-accredited Hematopathology Fellowship comprising two positions. The hematopathology group works closely with the Division of Hematology/Oncology which supports many clinical trials and a large stem cell transplantation program. Froedtert and MCW are home to a busy and growing Cancer Center as well as the Center for International Bone Marrow Transplant RegistryThe department additionally partners with Wisconsin Diagnostic Laboratories a full-service ISO 15189-accredited academic healthcare system and regional reference laboratory with outstanding histology immunohistochemistry cytogenetics and molecular laboratories to support clinical workflows. The department additionally has immediate access to a full range of technical services to support clinical and translational research projects.
