  • 70086 per annum pro rata
  • 18.5 hours per week - Flexible working options available
  • Fixed Term or Secondment for 12 months

Your role and responsibilities

As Head of Contact and Assessment youll play a pivotal role in leading and delivering high-quality person-centred services across Adult Social Care. Youll lead your diverse portfolio of services including Customer First the Independence and Wellbeing Service and our Financial Inclusion and Advice will demonstrate situational and responsive leadership with confidence ensuring strong collaboration across teams and partners to improve outcomes for the people of Suffolk.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to undertake a senior leadership role alongside the current postholder while they focus on driving major transformation through Contact and Assessment services. You will play a pivotal role in sustaining effective service delivery and performance while operationalising transformation and change and promoting staff wellbeing.

Working closely with the substantive Head of Contact and Assessment and service leaders within your portfolio youll:

  • drive high quality effective services supporting Suffolk people to access Adult Social Care (ASC) and Childrens and Young People services deliver timely ASC interventions that promote peoples independence and provide robust financial services for customers
  • collaborate with Area Directors County Councillors and health leaders to deliver joined-up impactful services
  • lead key projects that influence change and support continuous service improvement
  • champion innovation and service transformation within your services and across the wider directorate.

The team

Youll be joining the ASC Senior Management Team and a passionate and dedicated operational leadership team across Contact and Assessment services within the Adult Social Care directorate. Were proud of our collaborative culture where everyones voice is valued and ideas are welcomed. We support hybrid working and typically will expect the postholder to work across ASC offices where Contact and Assessment services are based including Endeavour House Beacon House and at other Countywide offices to connect and collaborate with their teams.
