Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Dietetic Technician for a 13-week travel assignment with potential for long-term permanent hire at a Providence Health facility. The ideal candidate is either local to the area or willing to relocate and commit to the role long-term if mutually agreeable. This role supports Registered Dietitians (RDs) in implementing and monitoring patient nutrition plans in a clinical setting.
Conduct calorie counts and monitor food/nutrition intake.
Maintain documentation in computerized systems.
Communicate effectively with RDs and RNs on patient dietary needs.
Support compliance with dietary guidelines and nutrition standards.
Prepare census and diet cards.
Assist in delivery of meals and monitoring food temperatures.
Perform refrigerator/freezer temperature checks and manage dietary storage.
Participate in supply ordering and inventory control.
Recognize and report nutrient deficiencies or concerns to the supervising RD.
1 year of recent relevant experience in a clinical nutrition setting.
Graduate of an accredited Dietetic Technician program.
BLS certification (required).
Ability to work in short-term acute care LTAC or SNF environments.
Proficiency in electronic documentation systems.
Will not float to other units.
Must be available for the entire 13-week period; RTO to be discussed at submission.
First-time travelers accepted.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Dietetic Technician Program (required)
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year in a healthcare or nutrition-related setting
License/Certifications:
BLS (Basic Life Support) Required
Graduate of a Dietetic Technician Program Required
Skills:
Strong communication with RD/RN teams
Competent in computerized documentation systems
Knowledgeable in dietary guidelines and nutrient monitoring
Experience with food safety standards and temperature logging
Comfortable working independently in acute or post-acute care settings
