Job Description
KPI Monitoring & Analysis:
- Support Business Insight Business Partners by tracking and analysing key performance indicators identifying trends and providing insights into underlying business drivers.
Deep Dive Analysis:
- Conduct detailed investigations into specific business topics identifying root causes of issues and opportunities for optimisation.
Data Extraction & Manipulation:
- Gather data from multiple sources clean transform and analyse it to generate meaningful insights.
Stakeholder Support:
- Assist in preparing data-driven presentations and reports for senior stakeholders ensuring clarity and actionable insights.
Collaboration with BI Developers:
- Work closely with BI Developers to ensure that data models and reporting solutions align with business needs.
Ad Hoc Analysis & Problem Solving:
- Provide rapid analytical support for urgent business questions and ad hoc projects.
Data Quality & Governance:
- Ensure all analyses are based on high-quality data adhering to governance and compliance standards.
Requirements
Essential Skills
- Experience in a data analysis business intelligence or business insight role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI Tableau or similar.
- Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work with large datasets and draw meaningful insights.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present data-driven insights clearly.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of key business drivers.
Desirable Skills
- Experience within the insurance financial services.
- Experience working in an agile and fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of Python or R for advanced analytics.
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as Azure AWS or Google Cloud.
Experience in a data analysis, business intelligence, or business insight role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
