Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive OCI Data Catalog PoC Specialist to lead the design execution and delivery of a Proof of Concept (PoC) for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Data Catalog. This role is instrumental in evaluating the platform s capabilities within the context of the client s broader data governance strategy. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on technical skills a deep understanding of metadata management and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End PoC Execution: Lead the complete lifecycle of the OCI Data Catalog Proof of Concept including requirements gathering solution architecture configuration testing and final presentation.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with business and technical teams to identify data governance goals cataloging use cases and key integration points.

  • Integration & Configuration: Configure OCI Data Catalog and integrate it with various data sources such as Oracle Autonomous Databases Object Storage and on-premises systems.

  • Demonstration & Validation: Design and execute test cases to demonstrate key features such as metadata harvesting data classification data lineage semantic search and stewardship workflows.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Compile comprehensive documentation of PoC outcomes including challenges findings value assessment and strategic recommendations for production implementation.

  • Training & Enablement: Provide training sessions and knowledge transfer to client teams enabling long-term adoption and effective use of OCI Data Catalog.

  • Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot technical issues during the PoC and coordinate with Oracle support teams when necessary.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data governance data management or cloud-based data solutions.

  • Proven hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) particularly OCI Data Catalog.

  • In-depth understanding of data cataloging principles including metadata management data lineage data classification and stewardship.

  • Experience integrating data catalogs with both cloud-based and on-premises data sources.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to present to diverse audiences including technical architects data stewards and business leaders.

  • Ability to work independently and manage PoC timelines effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Oracle Cloud Certification in Data Management or Infrastructure.

  • Experience with other data catalog platforms (e.g. Collibra Alation Informatica).

  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and regulatory compliance (e.g. GDPR HIPAA).

The ideal candidate will play a key role in the design, configuration, development, and support of OTL modules within the Oracle HCM Cloud environment. This role demands a strong blend of functional business process knowledge and technical proficiency, particularly in building and maintaining Fast Formulas. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams including Payroll and Absence Management to ensure effective implementation and ongoing optimization of time and labor functionalities. Key Responsibilities Analyze business needs and translate them into clear functional and technical specifications. Design and implement scalable OTL solutions within Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud. Develop and maintain OTL Fast Formulas to support business rules and calculations. Configure time entry rules, time card layouts, and time processing profiles. Conduct Functional and System Testing, and actively participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues, including managing defects and deployment activities. Provide post-implementation support, including monitoring, maintenance, and enhancements. Collaborate with key business stakeholders and cross-functional teams including Payroll, Absence Management, and Project Management teams. Document functional designs, test plans, test cases, and user guides. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Time and Labor (OTL) in the Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud suite. Proven ability to write and troubleshoot Fast Formulas (Time Entry, Validation, Calculation, etc.). Experience with functional requirement gathering, solution design, and testing. Deep understanding of HCM business processes, particularly in Time Management. Experience in functional testing, UAT support, and production support activities. Exposure to cross-module integrations, especially with Payroll and Absence Management. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications Oracle Cloud Certification in HCM or OTL modules. Experience with BI Publisher and OTBI reporting tools. Familiarity with Agile methodologies or project management practices.
