Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Medical Assistant for a 13-week contract in the Central Triage Department. This is a day shift outpatient-based position located in Washington. Candidates must hold an active WA MA license and have reliable transportation. This role requires previous experience in healthcare a solid understanding of medical terminology and proficiency with the Epic charting system. Locals only no travelers.

Perform telephone triage and manage patient calls including pharmacy and refill requests

Complete authorization forms and verify insurance (preferred)

Record patient history medications and allergies in Epic

Conduct follow-up calls and communicate clearly with patients and providers
-
Support general and internal medicine providers during patient exams
-
Float within skillset as needed to meet unit requirements

Must be a local candidate (WA-based only)

WA Medical Assistant Registered (MA-R) license is required at submission

Must provide 3 interview time slots with time zone when submitted

No call/no-show will disqualify candidate from future roles

Must have reliable personal transportation

No weekend holiday or on-call shifts
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified Medical Assistant training program preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a healthcare setting required
- Experience in adult outpatient clinics required
- Experience in general/family practice or internal medicine preferred
License:

WA MA-R (Required must be in hand)
