This position owns the execution of Quality Assurance operational goals and plans in our Bellevue Iowa Avionics production site. This leader sets direction leads resources to ensure continuous quality improvement provides guidance across the organization in the implementation of plans and procedures that drive achievement of Quality position has direct leadership over Manufacturing Quality professionals.

What You Will Do:

  • Leads team of Quality Engineers and Quality Assurance Technicians in support of the Bellevue site

  • Collaborates across multiple Avionics locations to ensure effective decision making among teams

  • Applies CORE operating system into daily practice both within the Quality team and in partnership with Operations partners across multiple sites

  • Develops and leads implementation of organization projects and processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improving.

  • Drives quality improvement processes to ensure on-going reductions in product Scrap Rework and Repair (SRR) costs Internal Defects and escapes

  • Leads collection and analysis of quality information from multiple sources to develop long-term quality strategy and programs.

  • Leads production process analyses ensuring quality standards are met and making recommendations for quality improvement.

  • Establishes oversees and coordinates quality policy and practice

  • Recruits retains and develops talent

  • Seeks out and incorporates lessons learned and industry best practices

What You Will Learn:

  • Leadership of a variety of technical and professional employees

  • Deeper understanding of quality decision making for production sites

  • Leading site through audits

  • High visibility with onsite leadership staff

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • 4 years experience in manufacturing or Operations functional areas

  • Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience

The salary range for this role is 82000 USD - 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.
