Job Summary:

The Leaves Coordinator provides operational and administrative support for the leave of absence process. This role is responsible for intake management documentation tracking and basic employee communications. The Coordinator ensures cases are properly logged and routed to the appropriate team members for eligibility review and case management. In this role youll support the coordination of employee leaves across the company helping ensure smooth timely and compliant experiences.

The ideal candidate is someone who can be empathetic to employees dealing with difficult situations and thrives on organization and process. Attention to detail is critical.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with intake and tracking of employee leave requests (e.g. medical personal family)
  • Support the development of team processes and procedures and utilization of technology resources
  • Process documentation according to compliance deadlines and respond to initial inquiries from employees
  • Enter and update leave records in Workday and internal tracking tools
  • Audit data entries for accuracy and flag inconsistencies
  • Assist with return-to-work logistics and employee outreach
  • Partner with the HR team to escalate complex leave ADA or compliance scenarios
  • Maintain secure and compliant documentation practices
  • Learn and apply foundational leave-related regulations (FMLA ADA etc.)

Requirements:

  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced customer-focused environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and decision-making skills with the ability to drive process improvements and automation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 software (Word Excel PowerPoint etc)
  • Ability to positively interact with all levels
  • Ability to work independently while also being able to contribute to a collaborative environment and provide and take direction
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to influence others
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Demonstrated organization attention to detail and ability to produce accurate quality work
  • May occasionally require extended hours to meet business needs

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Accounting or related field - or recognized equivalent in education and experience required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR benefits customer service or operations required.
  • Multi-state experience preferred
  • Workday experience a plus

Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration team leadership and cross-functional partnership.
