Job Description

The Encore Boston Harbor Coordinator - Employee Culture and Communications is a member of the Culture & Communications team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting with planning and delivering employee engagement events and campaigns creating and distributing employee communication materials and digital signage and developing innovative and exciting programs to enhance the daily experience for and celebrate the Encore Boston Harbor team.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Deliver exceptional internal service to our employees through the planning and execution of multiple and varied engagement and celebration events.
  • Creates and manages internal communications signage campaigns and promotions.
  • Working knowledge and experience of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Ability to write comprehensively and inspirationally for Storytelling programming and back of house communications.
  • Create visual signage digital promotions and other materials following our internal brand guide.
  • Organize and manage event setup signage and materials.
  • Assist with the planning of employee engagement events and contests spontaneous energizers and special displays of gratitude for employees across the property.
  • Assist with a company-wide gratitude and recognition campaign.
  • Develop budgets and cost structures for events.
  • Balance multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Participate in short-and long-term departmental planning; monitor and evaluate operational effectiveness through surveys conducted post event; identify opportunities for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Engage in self-directed work craft and maintain timetables for projects drive deadlines and resources and work with a high degree of initiative creativity and personal responsibility.
  • Provide event and photo studio support.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned and contribute to any Human Resources related projects as requested.

Qualifications :

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each job responsibility satisfactorily. Age Gaming and Certifications:

18 years of age or above

Will be required to obtain and maintain registration or a license issued by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.

Education and/or Experience:

A minimum of 1 year in hospitality communications or event planning is preferred.

Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

 

Language Skills:

Ability to read analyze and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals maintenance instructions and other related documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries from other team members or guests. Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations.

Fluency in English required second language a plus.

 

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is also regularly required to stand walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and to sit climb or balance and stoop stretch bend kneel crouch or crawl.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Essential responsibilities include moderate physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least twenty-five (25) pounds and varied instances of standing/walking. 

 

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that exist while employees are performing the essential functions of this job.

The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.  When on the property the noise level can increase to loud particularly during employee events.

Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry employees must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.

Reliable consistent and punctual attendance is required.
