Reports To: Principal and/orAssistant Principal

How to Apply: Overview

TheDean of Culture will collect and manage the culture metrics of the schoolthat include components of academics social emotional well-being andbehavior. The Dean of Culture willcollect information to inform students and parents of the culture pieces thatare being met or not met. The Dean of Culture will discuss data withinstructional and advisory teams to promote support celebrate and improveany and all culture components. The Dean of Culture will work collaborativelywith parents and students as well as the advisors and teachers to bringresolution to situations where policies/protocols have been breached. The Deanof Culture will report to the Principal on a weekly basis to highlight gathereddata gain approval for proposed solutions/resolutions to data/issues and evaluatethe effectiveness of systems/protocols put in place. The Dean of Culture will serve as the firstpoint of contact for teachers advisors and parents who presentissues/situations related to student behavior. The Dean of Culture willdetermine what department of the school the situation should be referred to:Assistant Principal for teacher development or the Principal for judiciaryinterventions. The Dean of Culture will work with the Principal on allJudiciary Affairs of the school including severe discipline infractionssuspensions and expulsions as well as city state or federal involvement.

Qualifications


Physical Demands

The nature of the work requires an ability to operate standard business office equipment and the ability to communicate and exchange information collect compile and prepare work documents set-up and maintain work files. Physical demands include the ability to stand bend reach high and low stoop and walk around the classroom 60% of the day. In addition candidates must be able to lift and/or push and pull 15 to 20lbs. for short periods of time and walk up and down stairs several times a day.

Working Conditions

Majority of work is performed ina general office requires availability for extendedhours plus non-traditional hours required to perform requires participation and attendance atorganization-sponsored events and meetings.
