- Estimated Pay: $21.18/hour (Negotiable)

Summary
The Radiologist Assistant (RA) is an advanced practice radiologic technologist who works under the direct supervision of a radiologist to enhance patient care in diagnostic imaging. The RA performs a broad range of tasks including patient assessment advanced imaging procedures preliminary image evaluations and communication of findings to the supervising radiologist. This role is designed to improve workflow efficiency reduce radiologist workload and ensure high-quality patient-centered care.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field
- Certification by NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) or ARRT (N) required
- State licensure
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nuclear medicine experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of radiation physics radiopharmaceuticals and imaging protocols
- Excellent communication critical thinking and patient care skills

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist radiologists in performing and managing advanced diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures
- Conduct patient assessments and obtain relevant clinical history prior to imaging
- Perform fluoroscopic and other radiologic procedures as delegated by the supervising radiologist
- Administer contrast media and radiopharmaceuticals as required
- Evaluate image quality and provide preliminary observations to the supervising radiologist
- Document findings and procedural details in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Assist in preparing reports and communicating urgent findings to referring providers
- Educate patients about procedures risks and post-procedure care
- Monitor patients during and after procedures for adverse reactions or complications
- Serve as a liaison between the radiologist technologists and referring physicians
