About the role:
Join our dynamic team at the forefront of the UKs Defence sector as a Managing Director (MD) in Consulting. This pivotal role places you at the heart of what is a Priority Sector for the UK Government working with government and its industry partners to protect our nation and help it prosper.
Our Defence practice is poised for significant growth with a substantial portion of this growth focused on our private sector partnerships with major players in the industry. As a Managing Director you will leverage your expertise to drive and maximise the market potential of our services focusing on engagement delivery team development thought leadership and risk and quality management at scale.
This role offers unparalleled opportunities to influence the Defence sectors transformation address productivity and value-for-money challenges and significantly impact our strategic objectives. Youll be positioned as a critical market maker at the intersection of cost optimisation and transformation activities overseeing a diverse portfolio and leading a talented team of individuals. The role not only offers growth and innovation but also offers a key role in shaping the future direction of our Defence Consulting practice
What your days will look like:
- Drive significant revenue growth within the Defence sector primarily focusing on targeted accounts while expanding sector-wide priorities.
- Oversee engagement delivery with a deep focus on maximising commercial returns.
- Develop thought leadership and market positioning strategies addressing productivity and value-for-money challenges in the sector.
- Manage risk and quality at scale ensuring adherence to high standards and client satisfaction.
- Drive innovation by bridging gaps between physical and digital assets to maintain a competitive edge.
- Lead a team of professionals fostering development and enhancing team performance within the Defence sector.
This role is for you if:
- Demonstrate deep sector expertise and an understanding of the Defence industrys dynamics including government contracts supply chain complexities and emerging technologies.
- Demonstrate an ability to sell oversee and manage large-scale capital projects within budget and according to strategic objectives.
- Be proficient in integrating digital and technology solutions within capital project delivery to drive transformation and efficiency.
- Expertise in managing risk and ensuring high-quality service delivery at scale.
- Have experience in leading and developing teams with a focus on maximising productivity and fostering innovation within the sector.
