The Visual Arts Center of Richmond boasts a 60-year history of providing educational art curriculum to greater Richmond area. The Education Coordinator reports to the Director of Education and supports the overall success and execution of VisArts education programs including ArtVenture the summer arts program for children. This role provides administrative support to the Director of Education the Education team teachers and students.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent administrative problem-solving ability and deliver both speed and accuracy with organizational and Excel spreadsheet capabilities. Excellent communication skills and the ability to successfully interact with a variety of people is also a key success factor for the position.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment as well as studios spaces and classrooms. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones and photocopiers.
Physical Demands
This job will require both office work as well as plenty of physical activity overseeing students and volunteers throughout the VisArts facility. The ability to walk lift boxes and stand for long periods of time is required.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Average Hours of Work per week
It is expected that the position will work 40 hours per week.
