RecruitNet is hiring for a DON for our client a leading Nursing Home in Co Cork.
Responsibilities
RecruitNet is hiring for a DON for our client a leading Nursing Home in Co Cork.
Responsibilities
- Take the lead in providing resident care.
- Strengthen the person-centered strategy.
- Encourage and guide a motivated group of people to reach their full potential.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and the Director of Quality and Innovation to create programs policies and evidence-based practice.
- Report on home KPIs and carry out internal audits.
- Employee onboarding as well as continuous training and development
- promotion of creative methods
- ensuring that HIQA and company standards are followed and implemented.
Requirements
- Three years or more of senior nursing management experience caring for the elderly (within the last six years) is required.
- Qualification in post-registration management (at least QQI Level 6)
- Presently enrolled with the NMBI
- Demonstrated clinical leadership and interpersonal capabilities
- Thorough familiarity with the "HEALTH ACT 2007" and HIQA requirements and regulations
- Outstanding organizational leadership and communication abilities
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions
- Gerontology training is preferred.
