Business Development Officer - Escrow

Location:

TX - Dallas/Irving

What youll do:

As a Senior Vice President Business Escrow Services Sales youll be in a key business development and relationship management role that executes the divisions strategic plan and guide the team in its efforts to meet the divisions annual growth and customer retention targets. In this role youll take a holistic approach to relationship management and be active participant both in developing new opportunities and working with existing customers. As the point person for structuring opportunities youll be supported by a team of underwriters portfolio managers and credit analysts to grow and manage a portfolio. Youll work your network and portfolio for additional opportunities and devote significant time developing new prospects; this effort is balanced with your responsibility for your portfolios health management.
  • Execute on the divisions strategic plan with specific focus of leading the efforts to grow the loan and deposit portfolio of the assigned region or business line. You are measured on your success in meeting sales objectives portfolio health and management of market dynamics.
  • Execute the tactical strategy outlined by the Director regarding transaction pitches and negotiation of term sheets. Is responsible for proposing the credit structuring of opportunities performing customer assessment and making presentations to divisional loan committees.
  • Responsible for the success in managing portfolio health and their efforts to pro-actively address deteriorating loan performance mitigating risk from market developments complications in service delivery and product adoption.
  • Foster strong healthy working relationships with senior leaders and peers in partner departments (including Credit Administration Risk Management/Compliance Loan Administration and other internal support departments and third-party services) and facilitates teams contribution to and compliance with technical processes and requirements risk mitigation efficiency and customer service.
  • May lead and develop a team; responsible for hiring coaching performance management training and development.

What youll need:

  • 8 years of related experience in Lending and/or Deposit Sales or similar field.
  • High school diploma required; Bachelors degree in related field preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general banking operations including deposit operations loan administration treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations rules and regulations industry standards and practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of commercial credit and loan structuring pricing dynamics and has market specific awareness.
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
  • May require up to 25% travel.
