About the role
As the Philanthropy and Partnership Specialist you will play a pivotal role in amplifying the impact of charitable giving. This position drives positive social change by securing strategic funding cultivating and maintaining meaningful donor relationships and showcasing the results of funded initiatives.
This senior non-management role is dedicated to developing new philanthropic and corporate partnerships to advance The Benevolent Societys mission. The Philanthropy and Partnership Specialist will collaborate closely with key internal teams including Business development Operations Finance Impact Data & Evaluation to design and execute a strategic growth plan aimed at expanding our network of philanthropic and corporate partners.
Duties
- Identify and Cultivate Partnerships: Proactively identify and engage with potential philanthropic partnersincluding foundations corporations and high-net-worth individuals.
- Strategic Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective
partners to secure funding and support for The Benevolent Societys programs and initiatives. - Philanthropic Market Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analysis to identify fundraising trendsinterpret reports and data and provide in-sights and recommendations to support strategic growth
- Impact Measurement: Work with senior leadership and Impact Data and Evaluation team to develop impactmeasures and communicate the impact of funded projects to partners ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Proposal and Presentation Development and Delivery: Develop fundraising proposals and presentations forpotential donors and facilitate meetings deliver presentations and other engagement activities todevelop nurture and maintain strategic partnerships.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of donations philanthropic partnership activitiesfunding agreements and fundraising communications.

Skills and Requirements
- Relevant degree qualifications in marketing business or equivalent qualifications and/or significant similarexperience.
- Significant experience in developing and implementing fundraising or philanthropy strategies.
- Ability to develop and deliver persuasive proposals and presentations.
- Strong analytical and research skills and ability to think strategically about partnership opportunities and align them with the organisations goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly.
- Proficiency in data tracking and reporting tools to measure the effectiveness of partnerships and referrals.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- A valid drivers license and willingness to travel locally as required.
