Our partner operating within the industrial sector (5060 employees) is currently undergoing a business transformation. They need support in the finance area!

Were looking for someone whos ready to take the reins of a key finance role for our operations in Portugal.
This is not just a maternity leave cover this is a one-year opportunity to step into a critical position with the chance to stay if you prove youve got what it takes.
What youll do:
- Be the finance go-to person for the Portuguese unit.
- Handle monthly closings taxes audits and reporting.
- Lead the transition to SAGE X3 and take ownership of ERP processes.
- Ensure compliance with Portuguese legislation deadlines and all things regulation.
- Coordinate with the HQ and help make finance feel like a team not a silo.
What we expect:
- Experience in finance (13 years).
- Hands-on knowledge of Excel ERPs (ideally SAGE) accounting audits and taxes.
- Understanding of Portuguese accounting and tax laws.
- Strong communication skills (yes youll need to speak human not just numbers).
- Ownership mindset: you dont wait to be told what to do.
