Job Description

We are seeking a highly organised proactive Operations Executive to ensure smooth operational processes and support impactful advocacy initiatives. In this role you will help shape a more sustainable future through operational excellence and effective stakeholder engagement. This is a mission-driven role offering you the chance to drive positive change within ProVeg Malaysia and the broader food system.

Tasks

Operational and Administrative Support (70%)

  • Serve as a key communication link between stakeholders partners and internal team members.
  • Draft edit and distribute internal memos newsletters and external press releases.
  • Compile and maintain program activity and operational reports.
  • Support OKR (Objectives and Key Results) tracking and summarise performance data.
  • Monitor project budgets track expenses and generate financial reports.

Policy Advocacy and Institutional Engagement (30%)

  • Assist in advancing plant-based dietary policies and sustainable food initiatives.
  • Support the development of partnerships with institutions encouraging plant-based meal adoption.
  • Assist in organising campaigns events and workshops to promote sustainable eating

Requirements

Required:

  • At least 1-2 years of professional experience in a relevant role (business administration business operations
  • Bachelors degree in sustainability business administration communications or a related field.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience with performance tracking reporting and budgeting tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficient written skills in Malay.
  • Passion for plant-based advocacy and sustainability.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic mission-driven environment.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in advocacy NGOs SDGs ESG or food sustainability initiatives.
  • Familiarity with OKR frameworks and financial monitoring systems.
