Job Description

Job Title:Human Resources InternLocation:District/Human ResourcesJob Group:Non-Union Support StaffPay Level:Non-Exempt Pay Grade 13Reports To:Director of Human Resources Summary: Summer HR Intern to support document management employee onboarding and administrative tasks. Responsibilities include filing confidential documents scanning personnel files assisting with new employee setup data entry and conducting document audits. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assists with hiring/recruitment processes by:Assist with new employee onboarding processes as directed by HR staffEnter new employee information into HRIS (Human Resources Information System) accurately and promptlyHelp prepare onboarding materials and documentationSupport orientation activities and coordinate with various departments as neededRecords & Document Management:File and organize confidential personnel documents in accordance with legal and district guidelinesDigitize employee records through scanning and proper electronic filing practicesProcess and archive documentation for terminated employees in compliance with retention policiesConduct internal audits to verify accuracy and compliance of personnel files3. Administrative & Project Support:Maintain and update employee databases and spreadsheetsAssist with various HR projects and initiatives as assignedProvide general office support to HR staff including responding to emails and inquiriesMaintain confidentiality and professionalism in all tasks and communications4. May performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Responsibilities: The ability to work in a collaborative team environment is essential to the employees successful job performance. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and School Board policies as it relates to the job responsibilities is essential. Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule. Knowledge of Microsoft office products Google and internet preferred. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions legal documents and procedure manuals. Ability to develop and write routine correspondence. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing is essential. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest commissions proportions percentages area circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Demonstrated ability to deal with problems involving several variables in situations with limited Skills and Abilities: Microsoft Office database management Google and spreadsheet experience preffered. Demonstrated organization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment is essential. Position requires a calm and friendly approach to manage a constant flow of interruptions from walk-ins phones and emails while serving the public and district employees. Must possess the ability to work well both independently and as a member of a team. Must possess and demonstrate a high level of confidentiality with regard to official school district Demands: The physical demands described here are typical of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
