A well-established organization operating within the industrial and trade sectors is seeking a skilled professional to support public affairs policy analysis and strategic business initiatives. The successful candidate will have experience in trade compliance government relations economic research and business development with a focus on international policy and regulatory environments affecting sectors such as steel lithium automotive and energy.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Establish and nurture connections with trade authorities and public-sector entities to identify strategic opportunities
- Conduct detailed research and analysis of companies and market trends within steel lithium automotive energy and related industries
- Manage databases tracking supply demand pricing and broader economic indicators relevant to these industries
- Support outreach efforts by conducting background research and managing correspondence related to projects in a timely manner
- Monitor and analyze policy changes at the federal level related to trade manufacturing and international affairs
- Assist in compliance processes through support of internal audits training and updates to internal policies
- Collaborate with industry associations consultants and legal teams on legislative and regulatory matters
- Contribute to corporate growth strategies including market diversification and merger & acquisition evaluations which may require occasional business travel (approximately 1020 days per year)
- Provide ad hoc analysis and information in response to requests from management and corporate stakeholders
- Prepare and deliver industry reports executive summaries and corporate strategy presentations for senior leadership
- Produce ongoing updates on market developments and quarterly financial performance of relevant companies
- Participate in external forums conferences and stakeholder engagement activities to remain current on regulatory and market trends
- Support community engagement and corporate social responsibility initiatives aligned with organizational goals
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics Engineering Political Science Public Policy International Relations or a comparable discipline
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in policy regulatory affairs research finance M&A or related areas
- Strong organizational project management and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
- Fluent in both Korean and English (mandatory)
- Willingness and ability to travel occasionally (up to 1020 business days annually)
- Prior experience in research finance or M&A is advantageous
