Job Description

We are looking for a GDPR Legal Advisor to join our ROCKWOOL Global Business Service Center team in Pozna.

Your future team:

As a GDPR Legal Advisor youll be part of the international ROCKWOOL Group Legal and Compliance team supporting the business in more than 20 legal areas of responsibility. We work closely with local legal counsels data privacy coordinators and compliance managers across the ROCKWOOL Group.

You will closely collaborate with GDPR Compliance Specialist based in Pozna who is in charge of ensuring ongoing compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other relevant privacy laws throughout the ROCKWOOL Group. It means you will be involved in real-world GDPR challenges and will be able to contribute directly to keeping ROCKWOOL a trusted and responsible business.

What you will be doing:

Youll help drive the execution of ROCKWOOLs data privacy strategy shaping and promoting best practices that protect our business. Your expertise will directly influence how we build a strong culture of data protection across the organization.

More specifically you will:

  • Advise on data protection requirements and standards across all aspects of the business with particular emphasis on digital solutions.
  • Provide legal advice for business units around the world regarding data processing activities data transfers and privacy risks.
  • Engage in new business initiatives to secure their alignment with privacy laws.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business including IT HR Procurement and legal advisors outside the organization.
  • Perform privacy impact assessments and data mapping activities using our tailor-made digital tools.
  • Monitor the sharing of personal data within the ROCKWOOL Group and ensure that applicable transfer mechanisms are established and followed.
  • Prepare and implement improvements by updating our policies manuals procedures and templates.
  • Deliver data protection training to employees and raise awareness across the organization by designing data privacy campaigns.
  • Ensure ROCKWOOL responds appropriately to data subject access requests and manages personal data breaches including maintaining accurate reporting and documentation.

What you bring:

  • Masters degree preferably in law but other relevant degrees can also be considered
  • Experience in a similar role ideally in an international company (having at least 3 years of experience is an advantage but not required)
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Great communication skills ability to convey complicated legal matters simply and engagingly regardless of the audience.
  • Business-oriented approach: open mind for opportunities for improvement and simplification where possible.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and self-development.
  • Good organization and diligence at work.
  • Willingness to travel periodically for business purposes.
