About the Job:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Supervisor to support our clients finance team in the waste management industry. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that the companys accounting records are accurate up to date and compliant with internal policies and regulatory standards. You will oversee the preparation of timely financial reports manage the documentation of financial transactions and ensure compliance with BIR regulations. You will also coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate efficient audit processes. Working closely with the Finance Controller you will help drive operational efficiency and support the achievement of the organizations financial goals. - Reviews records and reconciles financial transactions and balances in SAP including monthly closing and recurring entries.
- Ensures timely month-end submissions by coordinating with the Accounting Team.
- Monitors and manages company assets including inventory and fixed assets to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Ensures full compliance with BIR regulations including timely filing and payment of required returns and reports.
- Prepares documentation and schedules needed for both internal and external audits.
- Supports the Accounting Team during staff absences or periods of high volume to maintain operational continuity.
- Carries out tasks and special assignments as directed by the Finance Controller.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Accountancy; CPA license is required
- 3 years of solid work experience in accounting/finance with a background in supervisory roles
- Proficient in using accounting software including SAP and QuickBooks/Xero
- Experience in handling a full set of accounts (General Ledger AP/AR Management Financial Statements Preparation Tax Compliance & BIR Reporting and Audit)
- Experience in the relevant industry (i.e. holding/investment companies) is an advantage
- Highly detail-oriented self-driven and able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
- Possesses excellent interpersonal presentation and communication (written and verbal) skills
