Food Safety QA Supervisor
Pay: $58000 $63800/year
Location: Owasso OK
Shift: 2nd Shift 3:00 PM 12:00 AM (with OT as needed)

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Food Safety QA Supervisor to support the management of food safety and quality systems. The Food Safety QA Supervisor will ensure compliance with FSIS-USDA GFSI HACCP and company standards. As a Food Safety QA Supervisor you will oversee audits records review training and regulatory requirements while providing leadership and technical expertise to the QA team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as backup to the FSQA Manager and Lead for HACCP SSOP and food safety documentation
- Perform daily record reviews and monitor food safety and quality records
- Work closely with FSIS and USDA representatives on regulatory issues
- Lead HACCP team meetings and maintain HACCP SSOP and related food safety plans
- Support BRC program documentation audits and compliance
- Provide leadership training and accountability for FSQA technicians
- Manage microbiological testing programs including sample collection and COA preparation
- Conduct investigations for HACCP deviations foreign objects and non-conformities
- Place and release non-conforming products as required
- Support internal customer and GFSI audits
- Oversee pest control program and ensure housekeeping and hygiene standards are met
- Maintain accurate records trend analysis and data reporting in Excel
- Support training for employees on food safety and quality programs
- Perform Pre-Op inspections walkthroughs and traceability exercises
- Communicate with FSQA staff operations and USDA personnel to ensure compliance
Required Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Animal Science Food Science or related field preferred
- 3 years of Quality Assurance and Food Safety experience in meat or value-added food processing
- 2 years of leadership experience in QA/Food Safety roles
- Strong knowledge of HACCP GMP and SSOP programs
- HACCP Certified (within 180 days of hire)
- GFSI/BRC Certification (within 1 year of hire)
- Excellent English communication skills; Spanish a plus
- Strong organizational problem-solving and leadership abilities
