Your Role
As part of our high-impact Cyber Security team youll report to the Cyber Security Manager and play a critical role in driving Megaports global security and compliance strategy forward. This role partners closely with the Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) team to champion implement and evolve our Information Security Management System (ISMS).
Youll help ensure Megaport meets and exceeds strategic regulatory privacy and telecommunications compliance requirementsenabling our teams to scale securely while pushing the boundaries of whats possible in network connectivity.
What Youll Be Doing
- Support cyber security compliance initiatives across the business including ISO 27001 telecommunications regulations and privacy frameworks.
- Contribute to cyber security risk assessments and help track risk treatment activities.
- Stay on top of global cyber security trends regulatory updates and best practicessharing insights with the team and advising leadership.
- Deliver engaging cyber security training sessions and awareness programs for employees both 1-on-1 and in group settings.
- Respond to internal and external requests for security and compliance information in a timely professional manner.
- Maintain and update the enterprise risk register and assist with risk reporting to stakeholders.
- Help prepare compliance reports for executive and external audiences.
- Support the creation review and ongoing management of cyber security policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain customer-facing assurance materials that showcase Megaports security posture.
- Assist in the audit and testing lifecycle for ISO 27001 and other compliance programs.

- A foundational understanding of cyber security principles risks and industry standards.
- Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skillsyou know how to tailor messages for any audience.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the professionalism to collaborate across all levels of the business.
- Exceptional time management and organisational skillsyou can juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines without breaking a sweat.
- Working knowledge of IT systems and data management concepts.
- Comfortable using Google Workspace (Docs Sheets) and Microsoft Office (Word Excel).
- Sharp analytical and research skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Discreet and trustworthyyou handle sensitive information with care and confidentiality.
- Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as the role evolveswere growing and so will you.
