Cyber Security Co-Op

Working alongside a small dedicated security team where you will help maintain and strengthen security posture and ensure NIST 800-171 and CMMC compliance of our information system. This will be accomplished through compliance control auditing as well as perpetual threat detection and analysis.

This position is full-time and in-person at our Verona WI facility for a Spring/Summer 2026 co-op (January-August 2026) or a Summer/Fall 2026 co-op (May-December 2026). This typically requires students to take a semester off of school to accommodate.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitoring and analyzing network traffic and usage data from diverse sources to determine maliciousness and respond appropriately
• Reviewing investigating and documenting new threat/vulnerability data to ensure timely remediation and protection against emerging threats
• Assist in performing security system engineering and other Systems Administration-related tasking as required
• Assist in understanding implementing and properly auditing enterprise Information Systems security to ensure it remains in compliance
• Assist in making recommendations on security controls and collaborating with internal stakeholders to gather information and develop remediation strategies for discrepancies
• Providing Incident Response support when needed

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Cyber Security System Administration Computer Science or a related field
• Windows Linux and networking knowledge
• Ability to manage competing priorities and fulfill tasks to meet project deadlines
• Ability to work efficiently and independently

Desired Qualifications:

• General understanding of common infrastructure services such as virtualization technologies git and/or firewalls
• Experience with proactive vulnerability detection techniques such as penetration testing
