Position Summary:
Overseeing employee salary and benefits analysing and preparing journal entries and keeping complete payroll and other related files.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides accurate and timely payroll of employees.
- Keeps complete and organized payroll statutory contributions and other payroll-related files.
- Set up new hires Campaign Bonuses.
- Initiates changes in campaign bonus due to campaign transfer.
- Monitors payments for NHO attendees.
- Manual computation of unpaid days applicable to Newbies attendance from previous cut off.
- Manual adjustments for RD and RDOT triggered by system limitations.
- Review of overtime and holiday computations.
- Consolidation of employees incentives donations other bonuses and necessary refund.
- Checks and uploads attendance bonus.
- Computes wages incentives benefits including reconciliation.
- Computes company payroll.
- Prepares journal entries to record the compensation-related expenses (semi-monthly payroll and adjustments).
- Reviews and reconciliation of compensation-related account schedules to support month-end balances.
- Checks and monitors attendance related retroactive adjustments.
- Checks attendance of employees under maternity and those with prolonged absences.
- Prepares bank payment advice and uploading to Unionbank.
- Prepares salary13th month and allowance monthly accrual schedule.
- Extracts and sends payslips.
- Addresses employees concerns inquiries and other payroll related disputes.
- Assists and provides schedules asked by External Auditors.
- Prepares payroll for OJT.
- Conducts compensation-related orientation to new hires.
- Complies with applicable laws rules and regulations related to compensation and benefits.
- Assists in creating and implementing policies and procedures to identify and resolve control issues related to payroll and other benefit payments.
- Attends continuing education seminars/ training to keep abreast with developments in labor standards.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Qualifications:
- 2 years experience in payable processing and accounting in a Philippine setting.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.
- Experience in the BPO industry is an advantage.
- Experience in accounting systems is an advantage.
- Strong GL accounting and reconciliation background.
- Tracking budget and actual expenses
- Knows expanded and final withholding tax computation and reporting.
- Detail-oriented and thorough
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Mathematical and analytical skills
- Communication and vendor relationship skills
- Advanced MS Excel skills
