For over 25 years IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade IJMs Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence we are seeking a Specialist Compensation and Mobility.
The Specialist Compensation and Mobility serves as a key member of the HR Operations team by implementing and administering Compensation and Mobility programs which serve to attract and retain talent. This involves ongoing review and evaluation of the effectiveness of programs in addition to ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role ensures competitive compliant and mission-aligned compensation practices while facilitating international mobility in a way that supports enterprise needs. This position partners cross-functionally within Global People Support (i.e. Recruiting Benefits HRIS & Data HRBPs etc.) and Finance Legal Governance Risk and Compliance (LGRC) and Global Technology Services (GTS).
This position is based in the Washington DC area and is hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays). It reports to the Vice President Human Resources Operations and is only available for candidates with the right to work in the US.
Compensation
Support the design and implementation of compensation frameworks salary structures and pay guidelines that align with IJMs philosophy and market competitiveness.
Administers annual compensation review process with the VP of HR Operations and in partnership with HRIS HRBPs and Finance. Maintain compensation data integrity in HRIS system (Workday) and support compensation-related audits and reporting.
Provides advice and counsel on compensation related matters related to attraction and retention of employees including but not limited to hire rates promotions and internal equity.
Serves as subject matter expert on job design and evaluation.
Performs complex analysis in support of the annual compensation planning process and other initiatives.
Conducts salary and benchmark analysis in support of organizational goals or projects.
Assist in communication and training efforts to build understanding of total rewards and mobility programs across the enterprise.
Global Mobility
Serves as the administrator of the Global Mobility policy.
Conducts ongoing competitive evaluation to inform recommendations to leadership.
Partner with external vendors to ensure proper support and high levels of satisfaction of program participants by coordinating international assignments relocations and transfers in partnership with external vendors and internal stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with tax immigration and labor regulations related to global mobility.
Partners with the HRIS & Data team on data required to ensure compliance with laws regulations and policies.
Reporting and Analysis
Track analyze and report on key metrics related to compensation and global mobility to inform decision-making.
Prepare presentations and reports for leadership highlighting trends and providing recommendations.
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Management Human Resources or similar.
Minimum of 5 years administering or leading compensation programs.
Minimum of 3 years administering or leading mobility programs.
Experience leveraging data to support and drive business decisions.
CCP GMS or similar certifications preferred.
Exceptional data analysis skills.
High proficiency in job evaluation and design methodologies.
High proficiency with Excel.
Proficient with Workday.
Proficient with MS Office Suite.
Familiarity with data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau Power BI etc.).

*What is a statement of faith
A statement of faith should describe your Christian faith and how you see it as relevant to your involvement with IJM. The statement can either be incorporated into the cover letter or submitted as a separate document and should include at a minimum a description of your spiritual disciplines (prayer study etc.) and your current fellowship or place of worship.
