Position Overview:
Brunswick Venture Boat Group a leading manufacturer of recreational fiberglass boats has an opening for a District Business Manager for the Central-Midwest/Great Lakes area. This individual will be responsible for determining the right strategic dealer locations for each brand executing boat sales to achieve budgeted goals and building profitable market share in a designated territory through active territory management and dealer marketing support. The position has direct responsibility for all product sales training and achieving sales forecasts in their region. This role will require approximately 80% travel.
The ideal candidate will reside within the Great Lakes territoryspecifically in Wisconsin Michigan Minnesota Illinois or Indianato best align with the regional structure and travel demands of the role.

Essential Functions:
Direct sales responsibility for brands within assigned sales territory
Meet or exceed sales objectives while maintaining acceptable gross margins.
Establish and manage yearly dealer sales targets and provide the company with accurate sales and inventory forecasts.
Plan and execute territory sales plans and strategies as part of overall company strategy.
Ensure deadlines are met for sales and service agreement annual planning targets and order dates.
Manages the strategic direction of the brands dealer network within territory to optimize sales coverage which includes identification of white space distribution opportunities and underperforming dealerships and development of strategies to correct underperforming dealers.
Establish and maximize strong dealer and customer relationships.
Assist brands in product development pricing and retail and wholesale incentive programs.
Carry-out brand-specific training programs for dealers when .
Provide input into product materials including catalogs brochures website content boat shows and other marketing events.
Assist brands and dealers with event planning and execution including boat shows dealer open-houses and other like events.
Create dealer-specific marketing plans for each territory in the region. This also may include teaching the dealer how to maximize investment through e-marketing etc.
Work with our internal customer service team to monitor and improve the dealers CSI and NPS scores.
Support communication across Brunswick business units particularly Mercury Marine and other Brunswick boat companies.
Provide company with accurate and timely competitive information.
Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however others can be developed along the way.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years in sales or sales management preferably in the marine or power sports industry.
Demonstrated experience in managing distribution channels and dealer networks.
Experience with territory management and customer call planning.
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint -- e-marketing skills a plus.
Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
Understanding of basic financial statements (Income Balance Sheet Cash Flow.)
Proficiency with problem analysis and resolution at both strategic and functional level.
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
Willingness to travel up to 80%.
This position is a commission-based pay structure allowing you to earn based on your performance and sales achievements. The anticipated base pay range for this position is $69000 - $110500 annually. Actual earnings will depend on various factors including your sales skills experience market conditions and individual performance.
In addition to commission you have opportunities for bonuses based on sales milestones and performance metrics.
