Special Program Volunteer Services PRN

Work location:Texas Health Dallas - 8200 Walnut Hill Lane Dallas Texas
Work hours:PRN as needed - Possible rotating schedule Monday Wednesday and Friday 7am-3:30pm (days and hours are subject to change based on business needs)
Training: Must be able to attend training at the corporate office in Arlington from 8am-5pm during the first 1-5 days of hire.

Heres What You Need
- Bachelors degree in healthcare business or relevant field required. Four years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree is required.
- 1 year of health care or non-profit agency experience with a Bachelors degree is required or
- 5 years of health care or non-profit agency experience with no degree is required and
- Volunteer management experience is preferred
- Sound judgment and character assessment excellent human relations an oral/written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word. Demonstrated database ability. Demonstrated organizational ability.
What You Will Do
- Manages volunteer application process including screening/interviewing training initial placement replacement of all volunteers and supports the completion of compliance requirements of all volunteers.
- Manages volunteer programs within the hospital including but not limited to critical areas; information desks surgery waiting room and flower delivery addressing staffing needs communication problem solving and counseling.
- Manages summer student volunteer (SERV) program including leadership recruitment interviewing volunteer prospect recruitment training and supervision.
