The Finance Technology Risk & Intelligence team defines and continuously evaluates controls across the Finance Technology systems. We perform risk assessments identify control gaps and drive control remediation and control improvements. The team aligns the Finance Technology control framework with other teams to improve end-to-end control integrity. We work closely with engineers to review system design and provide input on technical controls solution.
Key job responsibilities
As a Risk Manager you will lead projects to identify functional operational and compliance risks and drive projects to remediate issues including technical and process fixes. You will work with teams across Amazon to track remediation resolve issues and report progress.
Responsibilities include:
Manage the Finance Technology controls.
Inspect and maintain a prioritized roadmap to address gaps and improve control design and testing practices.
Communicate risk posture and metrics to stakeholders.
Coordinate with other finance and business teams to assess risks and align controls across platforms.
Evaluate known issues and identify root causes through end-to-end financial processes.
Plan and manage multiple parallel projects.
Drive effective teamwork communication collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with different priorities.
Communicate project issues and status in a concise accurate and professional manner.
Remain flexible to changing priorities open to new ideas and have Amazons success firmly in your focus.
- 5 years of compliance program management legal governance audit risk/loss prevention or equivalent experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- Experience handling confidential information
- 3 years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience
- Professional auditing qualification or similar risk or compliance credentials
- Experience with SQL and Excel

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
