Job Description

Business Intelligence Reporting Analyst / Developer K-12 Education Systems

Location: Baltimore MD
Schedule: Full-Time (Hybrid On-Site);
Client: Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS)
Submission Format: MS Word resume with 3 professional references (preferred)

Position Overview

BCPS is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Reporting Analyst/Developer to support data reporting and analytics efforts within its K 12 school system. This full-time role requires strong hands-on experience with modern BI tools data modeling and report development with a focus on actionable analytics to support school operations and performance insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau or Power BI
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting needs and document report requirements
  • Extract and transform data from various sources including SQL databases and data warehouses
  • Translate complex data into clear and accessible visual insights
  • Apply Data Warehouse principles to support the design and development of scalable BI solutions
  • Work effectively within an Office 365 environment (e.g. Word Excel PowerPoint Visio SharePoint Teams)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience
    OR
    No degree with a minimum of 10 years of directly related BI/reporting experience
  • Proven ability to gather document and translate business requirements into reporting solutions
  • Experience working with stakeholders across business and technical teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced educational environment

Technical Skills & Tools

  • Tableau or Power BI (mandatory)
  • Strong understanding of Data Warehouse concepts
  • Proficient in SQL and database querying
  • Comfortable with collaboration and documentation tools in the Office 365 suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting K 12 public school systems
  • Experience with student information systems financial systems or HR data reporting within education
