We are actively searching for a Lead Host.
The Lead Host will orchestrate a remarkable evening at Starlite for all guests - from start to finish. It begins with a welcome where guests are greeted by name escorted to seats and where they are introduced to a server. Special occasions are discretely noted to be celebrated throughout the night.
Job Responsibilities:
- Cultivate one of the most welcoming spaces in SF - a place for locals and tourists alike to see and be seen ensuring a fun time for all.
Extend a warm greeting to all guests and guide them to their tables offering menus and personalized recommendations as required.
Articulate Starlites service style and ambiance concisely and effectively to guests.
- Uphold a standard of exceptional hospitality ensuring guests feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive until the moment they leave
- Demonstrate the ability to recognize regular patrons and VIPs communicating pertinent information to the team accordingly.
Anchor the Host stand every shift
Manage the reservation and waitlist systems proactively communicating with guests and balancing high-demand nights.
- Monitor and adjust for flow of service capacity private events and high-traffic moments. Coordinate seating arrangements with the FOH team and managers maintaining awareness of table turnover event needs and floor dynamics.
- Establish the tone for the guest experience understanding the significance of being the initial point of contact and embodying professionalism and attentiveness.
- Inform waiting guests promptly when their table is ready notifying management when
- Relay any specific guest preferences or requirements noted in reservations to the front-of-house (FOH) team servers and managers.
- Promptly notify team members and managers of any guest dissatisfaction disruptive behavior or signs of intoxication.
Ensure cleanliness and organization in the host area and restrooms at all times.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years Food and Beverage Management Experience
- Experience in lifestyle or luxury hotels required
- Exceptionally trained in service capable of leading others by example in delivering high qualify of guest service.
- An excellent communicator ability to listen actively speak and write clearly to manage negotiations and follow-through effectively.
- Background in supervising floor management Maitre D or Lead Host preferred
