About the role
Canadian Blood Services is looking for a regular full-time Consultant Organizational Change to join our dynamic Talent Strategy team in our People Culture and Performance division.
The Talent Strategy team is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by leading the processes to prepare the workforce for the future and to support the effectiveness of the division.
In this role you will lead the development and application of organizational change capability. You will lead the definition of the change approach process development and tools and develop a community of practice to ensure their consistent and effective application on transformational projects. Through change advisory services you will partner with leaders teams and stakeholders to build change skill sets support enterprise-wide change initiatives by delivering insights to senior sponsors and support team effectiveness during transformation.
Formula for success
- Leveraging your demonstrated knowledge and expertise you will define the organizations change approach develop tools templates and resources to support consistent change practices. Design and deliver learning experiences that build change leadership and change agent skills across the organization.
- Harnessing your highly developed change management and communication skills you will facilitate workshops and coaching sessions to strengthen change readiness and execution discipline. Measure and report on capability development outcomes and adoption.
- You will act as a strategic change agent for the enterprise portfolio by leveraging data and insights generated through the network of project managers and change leads.
- Applying your exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships you will support sponsors in fulfilling their roles effectively through coaching and engagement planning.
- Using your attention to detail and analytical skills you will track and report on change execution health and stakeholder commitment levels across the portfolio.
- You will partner with project teams to integrate change management into planning and delivery. Support projects to complete change impact assessments and readiness evaluations using structured methodologies.
- You will provide expert consultation to leaders and teams on change strategy planning and execution. Advise on sponsorship alignment stakeholder engagement and communication strategies.
- Utilizing your excellent organizational and presentation skills you will facilitate change planning sessions and decision-making forums. Offer just-in-time coaching to leaders navigating complex change environments.
- You will lead and grow the internal Change Community of Practice to foster collaboration and shared learning. Share insights tools and emerging trends in change execution to elevate organizational knowledge.
- You will be responsible for applying diagnostics and feedback tools to assess team dynamics and resilience.
- Drawing on your strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead and work collaboratively across a diverse team you will support leaders in managing team energy morale and productivity through uncertainty. Co-create action plans that strengthen team cohesion and adaptability. Facilitate team effectiveness sessions to support alignment trust and performance during change.
Desired education and skills
- Completing of a degree in Organizational Development organizational Psychology behavioural science Business or related field (Masters preferred).
- Certification or formal training in change methodologies.
- 10 years of experience in change management organizational development or transformation roles including experience in building organizational capability.
- Demonstrated experience aligning Organizational Effectiveness change management and enablement and organizational objectives and strategies; a strong change program developer and implementer who has participated in a strategy setting.
- Excellent people communication presentation and group facilitation skills along with experience working with executive stakeholders.
- Flexible approach and able to coach and mentor other Change Practitioners.
- An equivalent combination of education training and experience may be considered.
