Job Summary/Description:

The Gray Media Training Center offers hands-on training to prepare participants for professional careers in local broadcasting and digital media. The program covers key areas such as news marketing production engineering technology and multimedia sales. This is a paid part-time temporary internship.

Join the Gray Media Training Center Internship Program and immerse yourself in a hands-on learning environment as a key member of our acclaimed digital and broadcast team at WLBT-TV. Program participants will gain practical hands-on experience in essential areas of news marketing production engineering and multimedia sales. As a fellow of the Gray Media Training Center participants will have the unique opportunity to create a public affairs show each semester overseeing every aspect from shooting and editing to producing directing and hosting. This is a paid part-time temporary internship.

Qualifications:

- Candidates should be juniors or seniors at an accredited university or college in Mississippi maintaining a strong academic record and possessing a recommendation from their dean or internship coordinator.
- Candidates must exhibit a strong work ethic effective time management and exceptional professional and organizational skills.
- Candidates should be pursuing a degree in Journalism/Communications Sales Marketing Engineering or related fields with a keen interest in gaining hands-on experience in the local media industry.
