The Director of Human Resources is a leader responsible for researching developing and implementing people-related strategies for the organization. The Director of HR will lead the following practice areas: talent development compensation policy development and deployment acquisition integration systems and employee experience.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Talent Development:
- Research and recommend relevant training and development programs to enhance skillsets improve performance and support career progression.
- Advocate for and support a learning culture by providing opportunities for professional growth and development at all levels.
- Conduct annual talent review and succession planning process.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives.
Compensation:
- Manage a comprehensive compensation program that aligns with the organizations overall business objectives competitive positioning and talent retention goals.
- Manage and administer incentive pay programs that are support the behaviors and outcomes of the organization.
- Continuously assess the effectiveness of program elements and approach to compensation throughout the organization.
- Lead annual compensation review process.
Policy Development & Deployment:
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with industry best practices and legal requirements.
- Design communication plans to build awareness and buy-in organization-wide for policy deployment.
- Research and recommend policies that balance culture and risk mitigation for the organization.
- Coach leaders throughout the organization as they apply the policies to specific behaviors and situations.
Acquisition Integration:
- Once the organization enters into an LOI and we move to the data gathering part of the process take full ownership of evaluating programs policies processes.
- Build systems and processes for onboarding new leaders and employees
- Maintain the HR Acquisition Playbook with continuous improvement over processes.
- Collaborate with other internal stakeholders to ensure data integrity and process flow continuity.
Sytems:
Talent Experience:
- Constantly evaluate and refine the talent experience from candidate to new hire to separation.
- Implement employee retention programs to reduce turnover and enhance employee engagement.
- Recommend enhancements to programs and processes that would improve the talent experience.
Minimum Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field.
- 10 years of progressive experience in human resources with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws regulations and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Critical thinker with the ability to drive change influence decisions and navigate complex organizational challenges.
- Experience in the construction industry or related field is a plus.
- Professional certifications such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR/PHR are desirable.
- Must have good judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Must have the ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have the ability to read speak and write the English language bilingual is a plus.
- Must have the ability to travel to remote offices.

Work Environment
While performing the essential functions of this position the Director of HR will be subject to mostly inside environmental conditions in the office. The Director of HR must remain alert during shift and have the ability to adapt & respond to sudden changes in their environment.
