About the role
Reporting to the Director Business Operations the Head of Business Operations Priority Projects will be responsible for the delivery and management of the Indoor Multi-Sports Arena Project and the Aquatics and Leisure Master Plan. This role involves strategic planning stakeholder engagement project management and ensuring compliance with Councils Project Management Framework.
This is a temporary position up to August 2026.

Essential criteria
- Tertiary qualification in Business and/or relevant field
- Demonstrated experience in project management business management community development and community engagement
- Excellent written communication skills including presentation skills together with high-level judgement and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver consultancies and projects in relation to time cost and quality of outcomes
Salary:The salary for this position ranges from$190594- $220617 per annum plus 11.5% Superannuationand will be negotiated commensurate with the skills qualifications and experience of the preferred applicant.
Access to a Leaseback Vehicle or Motor Vehicle Allowance is available with this position; however it is not a condition of employment.
You will be required to undertake employment checks which may include a Criminal History Check Qualification Check Working with Children Check Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test as relevant to the position for which you have applied. Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council for review in order to progress through the recruitment process.
