The Head of Implementation & Activation Group Director is a full-time position based in Sydney. This role plays a crucial part in supporting OpenDoors mission to deliver consistency delivery excellence and best in class service for Amazon in every country across its diverse businesses. This role has regional responsibility across XCM (Australia and Singapore) Prime Video (ANZ) and RMI.
The Implementation & Activation is a leadership role within OpenDoor ensuring we are setting our clients our people and our agency up for success now and in the future. The OpenDoor Implementation & Activation team is responsible for delivering best-in-class implementation planning and activation for Amazon. The scope of the Implementation & Activation team covers the Implementation Planning and Activation of all media channels and touchpoints with a focus on delivering connected audience-first client outputs.

Client Leadership & Strategic Partnership
- Be a critical senior consultant for your client spanning Media Negotiations Implementation Planning and Activation
- Regularly meet with vendors and partners to drive your clients agenda and future growth
- Provide strategic insights by acting as an expert on the clients business industry and competitors
- Ensure value from strategic local partnerships and global JBPs are maximized
- Pivotal role in building the agencys reputation for outstanding client service
Product
- Foster a culture of innovative thinking and creativity to develop omni-channel media solutions that raise the bar for Amazon the agency and industry
- Ensuring all client KPIs and contractual commitments spanning Media Negotiation Implementation Planning and Activation are delivered consistently.
- Collaborate closely with internal product teams including WPP Media proprietary product and service teams to ensure you can clearly articulate the benefits of their solutions
- Support OpenDoor craft leaders in identifying and implementing tools technology data and automation solutions through the organisation and then ensuring maximum adoption of best practice.
- Contribute to global operational excellence requirements including data governance reporting and campaign launch management
- Utilize WPP Open and other cutting-edge tools to demonstrate confident knowledge of media planning principles (e.g. scheduling flighting recency effective reach theories seasonality market prioritisation roles of channel)
People
- Encourage a high-performance culture rooted in curiosity accountability and collaboration for the OpenDoor Implementation & Activation team
- Motivate and empower team to achieve individual team and organisational goals.
- Conduct fortnightly 1:1 check-ins annual Career Conversations and Annual Performance Reviews with direct reports.
- Liaise with the People Team to resolve any team disputes to ensure a safe and productive team environment.
- Continuously champion company values to build strong and trusted connections solution-oriented perspectives and demonstrate that you genuinely care for collective team success.
- Foster agency-wide knowledge sharing and continuous learning around point of views trends and relevant skills to continue nurturing a high-performing agency.

- Identify collate and showcase examples of great work from within the team both internally and externally.
- Build the agencys reputation by contributing to entries for awards and competitions and by contributing to industry thought leadership.
- Be an agency spokesperson on industry subjects with a strong high profile and positive reputation in the market.
