Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree preferred in Human Resources Administration Labor Relations Business Administration or related field OR equivalent experience and training.
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in business and/or human resources; experience in the field of education and labor relations preferred.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in planning organization human relations communications and knowledge of labor laws.
  • SHRM or PHR Certification preferred.

Specific Core Function:

Under the direction of the Human Resources Director this person is responsible to plan and coordinate all functions of the Human Resources department including employee relations recruitment and record-keeping for all certified and non-certified staff; and to work with unions and employees to ensure proper execution of collective bargaining agreements and maintain positive labor relations.

Responsibilities of the Position:

  • Oversees recruitment of employees serves on selected screening committees posts vacancies internally updates the employment page of the Districts website prepares advertisements tracks staff requisitions and compiles staffing reports.
  • Compiles monthly Personnel Report for the Board of the School Committee. Ensures that all new hire documentation is received and complete.
  • Inputs new hire information and employment status changes in human resources databases. Prepares Personnel Information Sheets (PIS) to notify Payroll of changes.
  • Coordinates centralizing all personnel files including Title I Athletics Community Programs and Food Service.
  • Provide database maintenance (District and NH Dept of Ed EIS System) maintain filing systems and orders departmental supplies.

  • Oversees the maintenance of complete personnel files and human resources databases.
  • Notifies appropriate supervisors on a monthly basis of non-certified performance evaluations. Provides direction so that evaluations are completed on a timely basis. Notifies Payroll of annual and longevity salary upgrades.
  • Collects documentation for degree advancement on the teachers salary schedule and notifies Payroll of salary changes.
  • Member of the new teacher orientation committee; facilitates planning and implementation of new teacher orientation.
  • Conducts wage and salary surveys and studies to determine competitive levels and cost effectiveness.
  • Generates staffing reports for all employment classifications as needed.
  • Compiles and posts seniority lists for all collective bargaining units.
  • Prepares new hire reports for New Hampshire Employment Security.
  • Prepares reports and reviews credentials for Department of Education certification staff.
  • Coordinates personnel assignments transfers leaves of absence and issuing of contracts.
  • Assist with ADA Plan forms notification and tracking.
  • Assists with the administration of the provisions of collective bargaining agreements District procedures and federal legislation dealing with staffing transfers leaves resignations and retirements.
  • Attends workshops seminars and professional development courses related to the duties of the position.
  • Maintains current knowledge of legislation arbitration decisions and collective bargaining contracts.
  • Addresses any other tasks as may be assigned by the Human Resources Director.

Specified Length/Hours of Position:

  • This is a non-affiliated 228-day 40 hours per week schedule.
