We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Block Shop Assembler to join our team. As a Block Shop Assembler you will play a critical role in the production of our products ensuring that all components are assembled with precision and care. This role is essential to our companys mission as it directly impacts the quality and reliability of our products. Key Responsibilities:
Assemble and inspect blocks and other components to ensure they meet quality and design specifications
Follow established assembly procedures and protocols to ensure consistency and accuracy
Use specialized tools and equipment to assemble and test components
Collaborate with other team members to identify and resolve assembly issues and improve processes
Maintain a clean and organized workspace adhering to safety and quality standards
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize assembly processes and reduce waste
Meet production targets and deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Required Education Experience & Skills
Necessary Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. mechanical engineering manufacturing technology) an asset
Six months of experience in assembly manufacturing or a related field
understanding of mechanical systems and assembly principles
Ability to read and interpret blueprints diagrams and assembly instructions
Excellent hand-eye coordination dexterity and attention to detail
Physical ability to lift bend and stand for extended periods
Preferred Education Experience & Skills
Desired Experience:
Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001) and safety protocols (e.g. OSHA)
Experience working with specialized tools and equipment (e.g. band saw hydraulic presses DA sander drill press)
Specific Skills or Attributes:
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
Commitment to safety quality and continuous improvement
Adaptability and flexibility in response to changing production schedules and priorities
