Salary: $24.25 per hour 4% vacation pay
Location:Elementary & Secondary Schools within the Halton District School Board (Burlington Oakville Milton Georgetown Acton); and Burlington - JW Singleton Education Centre

Position Summary:
Supply administrative assistants staff work on an as needed basis filling vacancies for staff who are away or on leave within our elementary or secondary schools or the administrative Board offices.
The Administrative Assistants provide administrative support in Elementary and Secondary school offices. Including responsibility for the day to day office functions (telephone front desk reception and maintaining student database Aspen); as well as frontline support for students parents and the general school community (reception coverage attendance input school start-up procedures mark reporting process and filing of records).
The Switchboard Operator/Receptionist is responsible for answering calls on a switchboard and redirecting calls to the appropriate person/department. The Switchboard Operator/Receptionist also receives deliveries greets visitors and hands out cheques to vendors.
The print/mail clerk is responsible for assisting the print department as needed which includes the operation of several copiers/printers a drill press a power paper cutter and an air feed folder. This position will also be responsible for assisting the Shipper/Receiver in sorting incoming mail from both the internal courier system and the royal mail.
Qualifications:
Supply administrative assistants clerical positions require a grade 12 diploma or equivalent and a minimum of at least one year related experience.
Also required are:
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills
Outstanding communication skills
Expertise in the use of computer technology (e.g. word processing email spreadsheet and internet applications including Google Suite)
Computer proficiency including Windows MS Office Google Suite ClarisWorks Filemaker Pro and Desktop Publishing
