Job Title: OPD Consultant Ophthalmologist

Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough eye examinations to diagnose and treat a variety of ocular conditions.
- Perform surgical procedures for eye conditions as required.
- Manage outpatient consultations providing expert advice and treatment plans.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care and follow-up for surgical patients.
- Document patient histories examinations and care plans accurately.
- Educate patients and their families about eye health and preventative measures.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in ophthalmology.
- Manage patient records and maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training sessions.
- Provide emergency ophthalmic care when necessary.
- Conduct research as needed to enhance treatment methods.
- Ensure compliance with medical protocols and ethical guidelines.
- Actively contribute to the team environment and clinical governance.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Surgery (MS) in Ophthalmology.
- Diploma in Ophthalmology (DOMS).
- Registered medical practitioner with a valid license.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in ophthalmology practice.
- Strong surgical and clinical skills.
- Excellent diagnostic acumen.
- Proficient in managing patient care including pre and post-operative.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adept in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience in research is an advantage.
- Commitment to patient safety and high ethical standards.
- Ability to handle emergencies with a calm demeanor.
- Willingness to participate in continuous education programs.
- Proficient in speaking and understanding local languages.
- Strong leadership qualities.
