Job Description
Position Title: Financial Analyst FP&A -Senior Associate
Location: Boston MA or Dallas TX
The role
As Financial Analyst FP&A you will be responsible for the preparation and execution of the annual budget quarterly reforecasting long-range planning and ad-hoc for development capital and support for P&L related activities. You will be charged with consolidating financial and statistical information and performing financial analysis and relaying it back to other groups including Investor Relations and Investments.
What youll do
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives
- Evaluate the financial impact from new investments
- Prepare monthly quarterly and financial and statistical reports
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial and statistical performance
- Assist in forecasting and budgeting processes
- Partner with other departments to provide financial and statistical insights and support decision-making
- Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies and initiatives
- Perform ad hoc financial and statistical analysis to support key business decisions
What youll need
- A bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Real Estate or a similar field
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a financial analyst role or similar professional experience
- Prior experience working with and/or maintaining financial models
- A strong understanding of and ability to create financial reports and analyses
- A true entrepreneurial spirit is valuable in this role as youll be expected to provide your ideas be ready in driving the function and have a hand in creating processes and procedures
- The ability to think strategically to work with data and numbers and to provide thoughtful detailed analysis
- A high degree of comfort with technology including the ability to learn new software and systems quickly and to work through technical issues (e.g. Hyperion Essbase or PowerBI)
- Very strong skills in MS Excel (formulas VLOOKUP pivot tables etc.) and PowerPoint
- Highly prefer candidates with experience in Real Estate Industries
